Hope to have some help from the pros using 8RDA+ boards. Below is my gear so you can hopefully give me some feedback. I have just been real busy with work and have not had time to tinker but today I do :)

8RDA+ rev 1.1 with Vantec Iceberg w (ASII) on NB and passive cooling on SB (ASII). (not sure of the NB stepping hopefully A3). Most recent bios update

Tbred 1700 JIUHB 0302 w AX7 and Thermaltake Smart Fan 2 80 mm.

2 x 256 OCZ PC3500 EL DDR (cas2)

Thermaltakle Xaser II 5000 case with 5 case fans, Enermax dual fan 365 w p supply.

I can run 10x @200 fsb all seems stable, Prior I was ran 180 x 11 for 1.98 ghz. I know I can do better with this ram, I am hoping to get 10.5 or 11x 200. I do not think if I will get much over 200 without vdd mod but am willing to try raising the multi and leaving fsb @ 200. Right now case temps of 25 degrees and cpu guessig about 35 -37 celcius

Here are my bios settings with vcore - 1.725 and vdimm 2.77

Sys Performance - Expert
CPU CLK Ratio - 10x
FSB Frequency - 200
CPU Interface - Optimal
Mem Frequency - 100%
Mem Timings - Turbo
T (RAS) - 7
T (RCD) - 3
T (RP) - 3
CAS - 2.5

What should I change in the mem if I select aggressive mem timings, I know the ram can run on stricter timings 5,3,3,2 ???

All help is appreciated and right now Sandra is getting a mem score of 3028/2802 is this where it should be?

Thanks

Try this

If you haven't already updated your bios to the 3/5/03 version, I suggest you get around to doing so! I gained 4mhz of max fsb speed from it, and there reports of up to a 12mhz gain. Grab a copy in the bios section. And a tip for those running their ram at 7-3-3-2.5 or 7-3-3-2.0. Try 3-3-2-2.5 or 3-3-2-2.0. For some reason this board specifically likes those settings (for example I can do any of the above but cannot do anything between!), and you may not have been aware that your ram could do timings that low!

1.84-1.856 with 680 I made another one outta the extra smd grabber Tks BTW. Going for the 560 after I lap my NB and I should get 1.91 also with 3500 ram instead of 3000.

Wowo those would be sweet timings that low I am gonna give it a whirl. I emailed OCZ and they said the ram I have will do 7,3,3,2 withoout a hic cup so I will try that next and then what you suggest, once I find where I am stable I am going to try to get to the 10.5 mulit or the 11

Thanks for feedback guys, knew I could count on this forum

I agree 199%

Like I said I have tried it worked for me but I would reather 5 2 2 2 the 3 3 2 2 better benchs belive it or not.

thanks jonspd OCZ actually emailed me and made a corection my PC3500 EL DDR should run 200 fsb at 6-3-2-2 so I am gonna give your timings a whirl.

All test where run after a reboot and ran each 5 times then divided the outcome.

5 2 2 2

3071
2854

3 3 2 2

3059
2833

P.S. kid sry about the triple reply damn forums must have messed up I went back after they froze to look in my sent box and saw 3 sent reply's to you OPP's hehe.

Would you mind doing a run with 3DMarks2001SE before and after you get a stable mod to 200+ ? I am curious to see the benefit of the mod on something besides the synthetic benchmarks (I do a lot of gaming and SETI, some video and photo work) .
My FIC AU11 has not made 200 with my limited attempts at tweaking my board and XP2400. I have very fast PC3200 CAS2 ram so I know its the board or CPU that need attention in my setup. Ive never gone over 1.85 on the CPU so Ive got some room left there.
Right now im at 13x167 = 2171Mhz @1.75v with ram timings @ 2 2 2 5 @2.6v so im not sure going to 200 with relaxed timings will get me any benefit. Right now Im pulling around 10,500 3DMarks with my Radeon8500.
If going to 200 will benefit gaming (and be stable ofcourse) it looks like I may have to do the V mod for the chipset because mines an A2....

well update, I am running the 6-3-2-2 timings and I am getting consistent Sandra scores of 3035/2835 thats the average after 3 runs and a reboot following each test.

Jonspd, I can not run 3 3 2 2 , from what I remember and I ddi not try 5,2,2,2 but I am gonna try 5,3,2,2 to see what happens. I am sure with the vdd mod things would change. I am shocking my ram with 2.9 and cpu with 1.725 for the 10x200 I am gonna see if I can do 10.5x200

I also have to confirm whether I will be able to game as all I have done so far is syntheitc stuff and no prime 95 yet

Geez, I was doing 3037/2808@11x200 with my relaxed settings(7,3,3,2.5)..

My guess is that you'll probably have to pump the voltage up in Prime..

huh how do you pump the voltage up in Prime?? I think I am missing something as I can run prime at 5,2,2,2 at 191 fsb w 11 multi not a prob rock stable.

Next question for MBM 5.03 what should sensor 1 correspond to for case temp and what should sensor 2 correspond to for cpu temp??

THX

Core voltage..

well I figured that , I guess I read more into what you were saying LOL, thats been taking care of I am running 193 fsb at 10.5 did prime for 8 hrs using 1.75 volts and 6-3-2-2. I know its a bit relaxed however it is stable. I will test more in a bit but the board and mobo may be sold as I might give ( I hate to say it ntel a whirl)
