AX4C Max CPU Voltage will not exceed 1.6V

While increasing the CPU core voltage above 1.6 the computer will not post, is this a BIOS problem? As the CPU core voltage will go up to 1.85 in the BIOS. I have an Antec 550 and a 2.53 that will run over 3.2Ghz but anything above 1.6 and it craps out and reboots or I need to clear the CMOS. Is anyone else having problems with this?
