Im going to buy a mobo with onboard sound. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=13-130-413
Its going to be in a "entertainment" center. Playing DVDs/MP3s/DivX. Would this on board audio work well enough for DVDs?
This will be out putting to a 80$ amp (2ch), and 100$ speakers. So quality isn't the highest concern. But i want the movies to have ALOT of bass. (my speakers can put out alot of bass (12" bass driver))

Ill be running Win XP, Thoroughbred 2000+.

It should be more than enough. The ALC 650 has surprising sound quality.

I have a MSI KT3 Ultra2 with ALC650 onboard and it sounds good but I think my sb128 sounds better. Price is good on the refurb board though.
