ATi RS300 Chipset to be launched at Computex in June

We've been hearing about a competitive ATi chipset for sometime now, hopefully this is it and it comes out on time. If MSI is really interested, this could be bit for ATi, and Intel will finally have a respectable on-board graphics solution.

Hmmmm.

This could be interesting. I don't think the graphics performance of this chipset is going to have the same effect on the Intel market that the nForce2 did for AMD. Maybe my experience is out of the norm, but the people I see who are looking for good onboard gaming graphics wouldn't even consider an Intel system, and the 845G/GE is more than enough for the office market.

But I would love dearly to see a competing P4 chipset that didn't have the reliablity problems and overclocking restraints found in the VIA and SiS offerings.

Though I have to say, launching with MSI doesn't bode well for my wishes....
