credit card payment software

Not sure exactly where this should go but I figure this is my best bet. Basically I'm trying to setup an online store for a friend and they need some sort of software/code to allow them to take orders from credit cards online. I haven't been able to track anything down yet and would to know if any of you have a good suggestion. P.S. NOT USING PAYPAL.

I think you'll have to set something up directly through a bank that provides for online transactions. I believe Citibank does something of this sort.

We write software for companys and our software incorparates online payments and credit card payments. We use a company called Trintech

We are based in the UK, but I think they should deal in the USA aswell.
