added 256mb ram ( pc133)
swapped out the cyrix cpu for a celeron 1000mhz

mobo won't boot up

it'll boot with the cyrix chip, but no celeron !

any sugestions please ?

thanks

If you have a 133 FSB Celi's try posting at 100 FSB.

If I remember right only the 128k cache celi's will work or are supported in that board. If you have a new 256k core celi I think your out of luck.

My 2 cents

Looks like it should work.

The 1.0 and 1.0A Celrons are FC-PGA socket, just like your MB.

If you have more then one stick of RAM, you may try just using one to see if it will boot.

The 1.0 is a Coppermine (128KB), the 1.0A is a Tualatin (256KB) CPU which is not supported by the VL6, so make sure it's not a Tualatin.

If it's not a Tualatin, try holding the "insert" key when you power up the system.

BTW: Did you get any beep codes?
