I've just gotten a new PSU and will be removing all un-needed wires and I'm looking at this 6-Pin connector.....I've seen it used rarely and was wondering if anyone has seen it on the Canterwood/Springdale boards? I would hate to remove this thing only to find out when I buy my board in a couple of months I need it

Thanks

The ones I've seen just use the 12volt 4 pin connector.

It's not used on my Abit IC7 mobo, but it was used by my old Abit TH7-II and some of the server mobos. Not really very many mobos use it. Most of the P-4 mobos use the big ATX power connector and the square 4 wire power connector. I just secured my extra power wires neatly out of the way with nylon wire ties.

Are the 6 pins used for Athlon boards?
