Bunk Monitor? Say it ain't so!

I just got my Viewsonic G90F last week. Well I'm just noticing that the upper right hand corner is darker in hue than the rest of the screen. I confirmed this by setting the desktop to a white screen. Sure enough, the top corner looks almost blue instead of white.

I checked my cables. There are no electronic devices to interfere. I did the degauss to no avail. This occurs at all resolutions and refresh rates that I checked.

Any ideas? Or does this sound like a bad monitor? It's SO frustrating that I bought this from an online store rather than a physical retailer.

Well, if you're sure theres no magnetic interferance, and degauss hasn't worked (could try it a few times for bad spots), then I'd say it's time to return it.

I realized my guitar amp was about 3 feet away from it. There's a pretty good sized magnet in there. Though it hadn't been a problem for my other monitor. I moved the amp away and I'll give it a while to see if it clears up. But I really don't think the amp caused this.
