I'm looking to replace a Swiftech MCW462-U with another waterblock. I've had a nightmare trying to deal with the four bolt motherboard mounting concept. The posts always back out and removing my motherboard is not an option the way I've built my system.

Therefore, I'm looking for a high end waterblock with a socket mounting system that will take 1/2"OD tubing, whether by quick-connect, like the Swiftech MCW-5000, or by hose barb. I do not intend to add a peltier in the future.

so your screws on for that HSF are coming loose?
i dont have a mcw462 but you can probably cut a hole in the tray / panel underneath the MOBO where the 4mounting holes are so when you need to remove the screws you just remove your panel and pull them out from there

you can get a maze 3 + the hold down. the hold down is kinda bulky though
the tc-4 did have a hold down, i cant find it on dtek's site though

I'd say get the Swiftech MCW-5000 like you mentioned. Most blocks (i've seen anyway) are specific to hose ID...Though I am sure someone will correct me soon enough.
