I have an ASUS p5A with a K6-3/450 running with a coolchip copper waterblock system. I have tried a few motherboard settings in my attempt to overclock my system. My system is running fairly cool with my watercooling, but I only have gotten 5.0x100@2.5v (2.4v is standard). I've tried 2.5v with a 105 FSB and get cache errors. I tried 2.5v with 5.5 multiplier and my monitor will not turn on. Any suggestions? Should I bump up my voltage? Also, does anybody have results of successful OCing of this cpu? Thanks!

Thanks!Pump the voltage to it. My k6-III 400 took 3.0v and liquid cooling to hit 500. Put about 2.7V to it and try X5.5 again. Good luck :)

If your default voltage is 2.4v, I assume you have the AHX core. You can bump the voltage to 2.7v without problem.
My K6-III is running 24/24 with this voltage since 10 months.
It's very difficult to run the AHX K6-III above 500 without big cooling.

Rapha and Jeff,
Thanks for the information. After upping my voltage in tiny increments and experiencing a variety of errors and blue screens, I was able to finally get 5.0x105@2.7V for 525MHz...I haven't yet had a single error/problem and ran SANDRA burn in on a continuous loop for 12 hours without a problem. Thanks again....my ZDBench benchmarks went up alot over the 5.0x100@2.5v that I had previously been running.
