Has anyone tried a Peltier on a Socket A? A vendor told me they don't work too well.

1ghz@1.1ghz idle: 86F
full load: 109F
I want it cooler!

Proze tried it on his Duron @ 1.15GHz with liquid cooling. It got him from 1.1GHz (with just liquid cooling)to 1.15GHz. They do work, but you want a big one. They don't seem to be as effective on AMDs as they do on Intels. Voltage seems to be the determining factor with these CPUs. But they do help.

i've done it, and am not sure if it's all worth it. have a look in the old forums under "Cooling, Heatsinks and Peltiers" for threads about peltier results. read about my experiences there.
