I have a KT7 (non-raid) and am using a Fujitsu 2.1 Gb hard drive. When I turn my computer on the bois cant find the hard drive. Unless i flip the power switch in the back of my case. Then use the switch in the front of the case and then it detects the hard drive fine. I have it set on manual and LBA. When in Auto it will never find it no matter what i do. I am using Windows Millenium if it matters. The bois does however recognize my HP Burner. So i tried making my hard drive secondary and my burner primary. The bois still recongized the burner but not the hard drive. I have also flashed the bois and that didnt do it either.

Hope i can get some help here

dounds like the drive firmware is corrupted OR you may have a bad cable

If the firmware is corrupted then what can i do about it. This hard drive ran fine in my old computer.

Not that this helps but you are not alone with this problem. I too have a KT7 (non raid) and a 13Gb Fujitsu hard drive. When I turn my computer on the bois cant find the hard drive. I am using Windows Millenium also. The bois recongizes my dvd pioneer dvd drive however.
