I have an abit KT7-raid with a duron600@750. After I overclocked my system to 750 it wouldnt post anymore. When I first power it on all the HDD lights atc are on but the system doesnt post. When I shut it down by holding the power button for more than 4 seconds and than start it again it does boot. I have the feeling it has some thing to do with the overclocking but I dont know what or how. The Duron it at the default Vcore of 1.6V. Everything runs stable after it finally boots. So whats going on here?

Specs:
Abit KT7-raid (UL bios)
duron600@750
256MB PC133
Geforce DDR
2xIBM dtla 307030 (30G) in a raid setup.

I have experienced a similar problem with T-Birds. It disappeared with a months burn in. Try kicking your core voltage up a notch.

You'll probably need to raise the voltage to 1.65 or 1.7 to get 750 - that could be the problem. Another fix might be a bios update, look for one mentioning that problem. No need for a months burn-in if you leave the comp on for a few days (24hrs) running setiathome - if you don't have it already see the link on the frontpage, join the oc.com team!

Its at 1.7 now. I still have to push the powerbutton twice. Im not going to leave the PC on for a few days. Thats just a waste of energy. I think Ill just keep pushing the powerbutton twice untill its not needed anymore. Or maybe Ill raise the Vcore to match the standard value for the TBirds.

Thanks anyway.

set it to 1.85volts and your I/O voltage to 3.5 then go for 950mhz

I didnt expect anyone to pick up this thread. :)

Anyway, thanks for the info. I only went up to 1,75 but Ill try 1,85. Are u sure the duron wont overheat? I have a FOP32 cooler.
