View Full Version : Duron 700 with EP-8KTA+ overclock to xxx, safe guide needed
I like to know how to overclock my Duron 700 on a Bios base using the right dip settings, and what is CPU VIO Voltage Select?
The EP-8KTA+ has the FSB adjustment in BIOS. For the multiplier and Vcore you have to play with the dip switches.
The Vi/o is the voltage that the CPU core talks to the rest of the board with and you adjust that with those yellow jumpers at the top right corner next to the cpu fan plug.
I have my ep-8kta+ set at 9 x 104fsb for 936 at 1.85Vcore and the Vi/o set at 3.5.
Everything runs ok at this speed, but it seems to have issues at anything higher.I think it may by a power problem as the power supply is only a 250 watt.
Oh yea!
I just remembered, make sure you use that USDM program that comes on the Epox driver cd.It's a diagnostic program that monitors the CPU and system temps, the fan speeds, and your Vcore and Vi/o.
They read a little higher than the BIOS monitor, but I think that may be a good thing(it might keep me from going too high).
Dear Bp !
Thank You for your help,a happy new year to You
See ya
