is it possible to overclock this baby or not???
i heard it was, but i dont want to cut onto my mobo... or solder anything on it........

Hey

If you dont wanna cut or solder on your motherboard then you cant do that much overclocking with the AZ11, maybe an fsb of 105 or so to give you 840, but thats not much.

So if you dont want to Modify your AZ11 then you'll need to dish out the cash for a new Abit Kt7 or an Asus K7V. Or you could just use your AZ11 until the newer boards become available.

I believe you can cut and modify the L6s and L7s on your CPU to specify the correct CPU speed, but I am not sure how to do it (well obviously with an exacto or something) or what the settings are.

if you unlock the multiplier with the Ll1's ,cant you use the utility that comes with it to change the multiplier?? I know it works for the FSB

Hey again

There is a utility that comes with the AZ11 to adjust the FSB setting, but it cannot adjust the multiplier setting.

You would 'unlock' the multiplier on the duron by connecting the L1 bridges together using the pencil trick.
However, since the AZ11 does not support multiplier adjustment, you would need to connect only certain bridges and possibly cut a few to set the multiplier.

Nope, the multi adjust doesnt work.

I had an AZ11 and an unlocked duron and those little multiplier buttons still didn't do anything. I think they were an idea that FIC never implemented.
