I'd appreciate it if you could guys could post some Sandra benchmarks from your K6-3+"s. I'd like to compare it to my system:

K6-2 500 @ 600
256MB RAM
Tyan S1598 Mobo

On a fresh boot my CPU benches about 1290's/741. And my Mem benches are in the 150's with 4x interleaving.

I'm seriously thinking about going to a III+ , if the benches are better. Do you think the 500 III+'s are around the corner?

well...here goes......sisandra 2001
dhrystone 1414mips
whetstone 681 mflops

this is a k63+ 450@575mhz, running with cheap heatsink and fan at default core voltage of 2.0

posted at 636,but got win prot error.

i believe a good heatsink/fan and good mb w/ram, would be a good upgrade for a s7.

my general experience with the standard k62 & k63, the k63450 is about equal in performance of k62550 ( dont have #'s, but been there).

having said that, i believe this .18 micron 450+ chip is a great overclocking item due to relatively low core voltage (2.0v default).

i certainly believe that at least 650mhz can be obtained with the k63450+.

gigabyte ga5ax(rev 5) mb used

Does anyone know if a K6-2+ or K6-3+ will work on a Gigabyte GA-5AA?

Thanks for the info! 8-)

I know someone with the board who is considering a K63+. He's got a K63 400 at the moment.

Is it worth swapping for a K62+/3+ and is it still possible to get a K63+ or will he have to settle for a K62? ???

I guess my A7V will never be able to take a K63+, i'll just have to settle for this 1.06GHz Duron :P
