No Warranty = Cheaper CPU?

Since AMD Sort of promotes overclocking, and since most people that do overclock void the warranty almost as soon as they open the box ( me for one :D ), wouldn't it be better if they didn't issue a warranty and lowered the prices, i for one would definitely buy one.... or is it not up to AMD to issue the warranty? is it the vendor?

if they can issue warrenties (thus "raising the price") to people who they know will void them anyways then why wouldnt they do that
