I got an AMD 800TB on line from a vender, OEM part.It has a Yellow sticker on it with some numbers on it and under that it says: Warranty Void If Removed. Now all of the info that I have gotten and read, and pictures seen about the AMD TB, I have never seen or heard of this Yellow sticker.

Now I have a ABIT KT7 mb and it has a temp probe that is suppose to touch the CPU for reading the core temp and reporting that reading to the BIOS. So what I have to figure out is do I remove the sticker to get a good reading or will the sticker make any difference.

if your gonna overclock the proc it doesn't matter if you remove the sticker because you're gonna void your warranty anyway! if not don't remove it!! the sticker shouldn't effect your temp reading significantly enough to worry about it though.

thats just a sticker from your vendor to prove you bought it from them, its probably covering the L1 bridges you can use to overclock so if you try to the waranty is void <and so schmoes that dont like the OC they get wont send em back> I've had quite a few chips with these stickers, my tbird didnt carry one though.

Thank you gentlemen. I needed to hear that from some people with experience.
