I bought a Duron 700, an Abit KT7 mobo and 128 MB PC-133 RAM. I did the pencil trick but I only can set the multiplikator up to 8 (if I set higher, bios value is different to real setting). I wondered and set the FSB 100 and the extra CPU FSB to 15. It runs stable at 920 MHz. A higher CPU FSB creates only error messages. I have an ADDA cooler (~1GHz).

hey there

Its sounds like what happened is the pencil trick didn;t quite work on all the bridges. What you need to do is go back and redo the pencil trick until you can post at all of the different multipliers(excluding the the really high ones like 11 and up)

Then you will have a fully unlocked Duron

Well, I did. But it doesn't work. Can it be that there isn't enought lead in the pencil? Which air cooler would you prefer and how much does it coast? (golden orb doesn't fit on Abit KT7)

I have two HSF's. OCZ Dualie and Alpha Pal 6035. Do not buy an Alpha PAL 6035. It runs 2*C hotter even though it is 60 Mhz slower. If you want an OCZ dualie got to www.athlonoc.com and there is a link to the overclockerz store.
