I realize I'm littering this forum with tons-o-questions, but I need to protect my investment, and you guys are the experts!!

My KT7 says 1100MHz during boot, but I have an unmodified 1G TBird (unmodified "golden bridges"). Is OCing the MB actually doing anything, or does the TBird stay at 1G?

By overclocking the mobo you mean by uping the FSB right? If it is then it will overclock your processor also since the multiplier is "multiplied" with the FSB to get your clock speed. One problem though KT133 chipsets are very bad when overclocking using FSB. I would say a little above 105mhz is max.

I want to buy a tb that can go above 1200, or even 1300. What should I get?
Anyone of you have any success with this? If yes, please share your experience with me (AND MOST IMPORTANT, GIVE ME THE WEEK NUMBER AND PAW/PCWetc. OF YOUR CHIP)

Thank you.

Thank you.As SocketA boards are limited to a 12.5X multiplier, you will need to run a high FSB for the kind of speed your talking about. Current KT133 boards have problems over 110(220)FSBs. The upcoming KT133A(and other chepsets) boards will have true support for 133(266) FSBs. You need to wait a little while.

They've already got KT133a mobos in my local store, so this isn't a problem.
