I have recently learnt how to multiply the clock speed on the CPU it self, through tom`s hardware guide, link: http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q2/000623/amd-02.html
Dos any one have any experience on oc the amd cpu with the L6 bridge
BTW I am using the Epox Ep8KTA, with no oc multiplier, there is the FSB, but it will only take it up to 109 x 8 = 872 mhz

Why bother everthing is ajustable through the BIOS now.

what kind of mobo do you have? Most new motherboards have some sort of voltage/multiplier/fsb adjustment built into them. If for some reason yours doesn't, then yes, you could just connect the correct bridges to get any voltage/multiplier you want.

good luck!

I am using the Epox Ep8KTA, with no oc multiplier, there is the FSB, but it will only take it up to 109 x 8 = 872 mhz. The voltage can be adjusted with Mobo jumpers, so my "ONLY" problem is the clock multiplier.
Do you know about someone that has done the oc buy connecting the correct L6 bridges.

Be good....or have Fun!!!!

I saw the same article/tutorial you did Tweak Freak and I tried it on my 750 TBird. I closed the bridges that needed closing with the pencil trick and 'cut' the bridges that needed to be cut with (what should've been an EXACTO KNIFE)...but instead turned out to be a simple kitchen paring knife. Of course it didn't work because the blade on the knife was just a bit too big and those bridges are a bit too small.

I 'cut' & 'connected' the L3, L4, & L6 bridges according to Tom's Hardware and if I would've been able to 'cut' the bridges cleanly, then it might've worked for me. Unfortunately, I have the worst mobo, in my opinion, for OC'ing (DFI AK74-SC) because the BIOS and the mobo itself offer no OC'ing options short of messing with the bridges or/and the use of a Golden Finger (which will unlock the multiplier)That's what I will use next time I try to
increase speed but as of yet my 750 TBird is STILL only a 750 TBird. :'(

Thanks JeSus FreAk!

I Will keep in mind using the right knife for this delicate job, but I am sorry to say that I am not up to dismemboweling my new amd until I have seen some successful results.
BTW do you know anything about running FSB at around 120-133, I am for the moment running 109 stable with only PC 100 ram, is the system unstable because of the ram, chipset or AGP.

I also have EPoX 8KTA (not the +...) so i don't have anyway to change the multiplier except cutting the bridges. I tried to cut them with a scalpel, but it's too hard and too small. Does anyone have success this way, or any other way to do it with domestic tools (i don't have an electric engraver...!)
