I asked what watercolling kit to buy in another post and I was told it would be cheaper and in some cases better to build one. So tell me what parts you use or what parts I should use! I'm tired of using a small airplane engine for a computer! Help me with a watercooling setup.
To start it off I'll explain what I need it to do..
I don't overclock at this moment because of motherboard limits but will in the near future.
Play games and do graphics that work it hard.
An 80 mm fan radiator or one that fits over 2 80 mm fan holes side by side.
Both an AMD CPU and a Radeon GPU block.
Info on everything about watercooling besides don't let it leak on my computer parts. :)

Get a 1987 Chevy Chevette Heater Core.
About $20.oo - $30.oo @ ur local Auto Parts store.
(check around prices vary)
I Highly reccomend going with a 1/2" set up.
I am using a 3/8" & am not happy with my temps.
As far as the block goes, look around here in the fourms.
alot of ppl use basically the same 3-4 blocks.
Big choise to choose from there.
Also I think if you do a search here on "waterblocks"
you'll get alot of goo results.
Same goes for pumps.
Good luck.

OK that chevette thing is one reason I posted this. What the hell is this thing? Does anyone have any pics, I'll do some searching but is it the radiator or what?

yes, the chevette is the heatercore, which for all intents and purposes is the same as a radiator

Avoid plastic topped waterblocks, you know, the see thru kind, when [expletive deleted] happens, they fail worse the metal topped ones.
search on poly and waterblock, you find stories of failures.

Best place to get barbs is www.portagespecialty.com. For tubing get clearflex 60, here (http://www.mcmaster.com/asp/loadpage.asp?pagenum=85&descid=6663&term=Chemical+Metric+PVC+Tubing). Most people get the 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD; the chemical stuff in the left column.
For other stuff, here are some good places.

hehe, heater core is the little radiator that the heating in your car using to extract heat from the engine's coolant to use in the cab of your vehicle
your going to need a pump, eheim is a good brand but they vary. there's a thread about pumps failing here, should give you an idea about the brands NOT to buy, hehe
I made my own waterblocks, it's not that hard. If you've got access to a drill press with a cross-slide vise in it, that works great. My brother works at a company that is mostly machine shop and he gets used tools (end mills, drill bits, that sort of thing). He got me a couple of solid carbide 1/4" end mill bits and I used my dad's drillpress with the crossslide vise in it this week.
I made blocks for 14 hours, lol
gforce4 ti4200 GPU block, video memory blocks, northbridge block.
if you want to buy, http://www.dangerden.com has some good stuff.
http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Blocks/maze3.asp
maze3 CPU block, $42 (I'd get the copper top, $5 more, safer that way)
http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Blocks/chipset.asp
GPU block, $45
Chipset (northbridge), $38.50
They don't sell blocks for memory though, hehe. Making my own, saved over $100.
