View Full Version : Best 2.4C stepping to go for?
Whats the best 2.4C stepping to go for? SL6EF? I've heard bad things about the SL6SH (Costa Rica), apparently they don't clock higher than 2.9 no mater how high you crank the voltage :o
Not sure if thats a one of mad chip, but spooked me a bit! (wanna hit 3.0 250/500 on stock vcore :D)
Not too many information around, yet, SL6WF L309 is the baby to hunt :)
thats the one i have
btw the thread starter mentioned 2.4c Sl6EF which is not possible....sl6ef is 2.4b 533 FSB not c which is 800FSB
True. Both (SL6EF & SL6SH) are 533Mhz CPUs.

Using a 2,4C SL6WF fpo/batch #: L310A600
I'm currently running prime at 3 GHz (250*12) with HTT enabled.

I think this is the one they had at HardOCP running at an insane 1.2Ghz FSB (300Mhz).
Ah sorry my mistake guys, was looking at C1's instead of D1's.
I'll keep an eye out for SL6WF L309 ;) (Friend of mine bought a 3.0 800 OEM of ebay and its from Costa Rica??)

I got the SL6SH and got it to run at 3.2 ghz. However it's wierd because I ran prime 95 for hours, 3dmark, games, and sandra it never crashed, but when I leave the computer off for a while and try to boot it again after being cold. It won't boot untill I clear bios and let the computer run at stock settings for a while then put the fsb back up to 180. Then it works just fine!?!
Ive tried tons of other fsb settings same issue. It's really sickening. I also wish that my it-7 max 2 had different cpu:dram ratios. running a fsb of 180 I have to use 1:1 ratio on my xms 3200 ram. The only other options are 3:4 (way to much for ram) and some other ratio i forget that is worse than 1:1.
Most if not all PentiuM IV 2.4C are Malay stock L309 and L310.
