What's the highest temperature should i let my Tbird 700 goto?

Amd rates the chips for about 90°C max, but in a normal situation the limit is about 60°C max. for not-overclocked processors. How do you measure your temp? I presume you use the mobo watcher, measurement under your socket. For overclocked I would personally not go above 55, like to keep it below 50. There aren't any hard rules about temp. but you can hold on to this.

In case your temps ARE above 60°C, your heatsink is probably not well-mounted. Check wether you've got it flat on your processor and applied thermal paste.
