Where do you guys recommend getting TECs from? Does it really matter what brand it is if they are same wattage and are both potted?

now that the term 'potted' comes up, let me just ask a question..

potted means that the peltier is sealed to prevent moisture, right? so what does "DRIFT 0.8 Potted" mean?

Where did you see that?

potted is sealed, so you dont get moisture in there to short out the pelt.

OK, the best place to get TECs is where the OC retailers and
commercial companies get them.

The parent site is here.

You can buy from their online store here if you have the
bucks for the $100 minimum order.

BTW, these are the guys who make the quality sealed units
and they now have great performance plots for each of their
modules in pdf format on their site.

Don't be put off by their poor web pages. Everything you
need is there. :D
