WTF Is going on w/ my system?

I have recently tried to OC my T-Bird to 1.2 Ghz but the MB does not recognize the settings. It shows up as a 1109.That is both on startup at the flash screen and on SiSoft Sandra. I thought if your processor was locked you could not OC at all. I mean it runs fine at a 11.0x multiplier but no change when set at 11.5 or 12.0. I have not pulled of the fan/sink to look if it was locked but look at my above question. Somebody clear up my confusion please.

Have you heard of the problems Joe Citarella (of www.overclockers.com) is having at the moment.

He has the same problem I had temporarily where the multiplier adjustments just die. Mine fixed itself on my A7V but Joes are persistently a gonna.

I think what it comes down to is the temperamentalness of the board and mostly the dodgy KT133 (or should that be KT100) chipset.

My 2 Cents on this situation that is going around with the multiplier on the AV7 might not even be the MoBo at all. If have unlocked your processor with the "Pencil Trick" it is possible that tiny variations in voltage can affect the conductiveness of the lead, and thus if the voltage doesnt get from side to side it doesnt unlock certain multiplier settings. What I did and I suggest everyone does this if the have the means to it; is to solder the bridges permanently. If you know someone that works with PCB boards or is really good at soldering give them 10 bucks to do the job for you. Atleast thats what I did. Totaly and surely unlocked foeva!
