connect the L1's to unlock the multiplyer on the AMD

then use both multiplyer and FSB to overclock

should get 1200mhz out of it

what board do you have?

If you look at the ceramic die, there are a number of copper connections (the infamous 'bridges') - some have been cut by a laser. To unlock the multiplier on the cpu, you must connect the 'L1' bridges - they are labelled as such, so you should be able to find them. Better still, here's a link to an article with clear pics: http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q3/000711/index.html . One tip - when you've drawn over the bridges with a pencil, run the blade of a craft knife between them to make sure they are not touching each other - I found I had to do this to get it to work.

As Kat said, let us know which mobo you have - if it's a good one like the A7v or KT7-R, you can change the multiplier - other boards allow you to change the multiplier as well, these are just the two popular ones.
