After much research I went with teh fortron 530w FSP530-60GNA
fron newegg. Man what a beast this thing is. It did not cure my overclocking problem, I just got a bum chip is all, no biggie I'll order another one.

I suggest you ALL follow larva's advcie and go with the fortron/sparkle line of PSU's. I tested this beast using 3 cdroms 6 hard drives, and 8 fans. The PSU didn't even hickup. If you need a real brute, pick one of these up.

I only have one question, every now and then the PSU sounds like it's farting, lol ......... about every hour and a half it makes a sound so similar to a fart it's freaky. Any ideas guys? hehe

Glad you're enjoying the PSU... no idea what's causing its noises though. Maybe keep it away from the burrito stash ;)

could that fart sound be like static build up?

I'm not sure what the heck it is. It sounds just like a 1 second long fart, happens every couple of hours.

And I'm not running at 2.5 ghz ... was a mistake I need to change that I'm at 2.05 ghz.

Hopefully it's just a bad fan. Worst case: it's a blowing cap.

I just got one of those for a friend. They are really heavy power supplies - it seems like it weighs more than the aluminum Chieftec case! :p

They say there for "dual cpu" mobos, will it also work with any other ATX mobo?

Yes they will, works fine for me.
