for EVERYthing i have read that almost all current durons and t birds can run 133FSB stable as a rock
I think you've confused memory bus with front side bus. While it's pretty easy to run your memory at 133 MHz or more, the KT133 chipset doesn't do very well with running your front side bus at anywhere near 133. I've only gotten 104 on my MSI K7T Pro2-A, which runs my memory at 137 MHz. I know others have gotten up to 111 or so, but I think it gets real flakey after that. I believe that's the big attraction of the KT133A chipset, that it supports a 133 MHz FSB.
gerry
if you already knew the answer to your question why ask?
hehe look closer, I'm not the one who asked the question

first off gary i never said what board would run 133 fsb
i was refuring to the KT133A boards mr smart azz
i have seen many t birds running 133 fsb on these test boards
they will be releaced to the public in the next month or so
so....in other words......DONT TRY TO DOWN SIZE ME MR IDIOT
Chill out, it wasn't a personal attack.
Some points of order:
1) The name is GERRY, not GARY.
2) The original question asked about KT133, not KT133A. Your answer stated that the CPUs could run 133 FSB, which I never questioned. Perhaps a little more thought on my part would have led me to understand that you weren't answering the question that was asked, but were talking about a different chipset.
3) If the original post was edited after you posted your reply, to add KT133, then I apologize profusely. If it wasn't edited, and stated KT133 when you replied to it, then I stand by my response.
Have a nice evening.

well...since you're all trying to attack one another...i'll answer the question
the current batch of athlons durons have been tested to be capable of running at an fsb of 133 or higher. the only problem is the KT133 chipset which won't let fsb overclocking go very high.
the KT133 chipset maxes out at an fsb of 110 or a bit higher than that. hitting 115 is very difficult.
if you want to run your current duron/athlon at 133mhz fsb, wait for the new chipsets for the AMD processors that will officially support the 133mhz DDR fsb(266) such as the KT133A, AMD 760 and the other one...i dunno 'bout it.
i'm holding on to my current Athlon and waiting for a KT133A. so my athlon 700 will be an Athlon 933 with a KT133A mobo...heheehhehe
i hit 116 FSB with the new bios 1005b for asus A7V
