I have a Retail Duron 700Mhz with the reatil fan.
I overclock my Duron to 800mhz and everything is fine. I even went to 850. What i want to know is that with my Retail fan is it ok tu overlcok up to 850 if the cpu temperatur goes up to 46degrees. By the way my fan turns at 5600rpm. Tell me what is the max duron cpu temp that is acceptable. Thank You.

Try to keep your temps below 60C. I still recommend a better heatsink/fan, else you'll only mak 900-950MHz.
1.85 volts is ok as well, cause that will be your next question.

my max core voltage is 1.80v
also i put my core voltage to 1.80 and tried to get 950mhz
my computer froze at the windows startup and made a long beep sound. I restarted and had to clear cmos and format my hd. The win dir had been changed to a bizarre name. Why ???
ho do i overclock to more that 900 mhz since i can't go more that 1.80 of core voltage. My board is a MSI K7T Pro-2A Motherboard and is suppose to be able to have cpu of 1.2 Ghz

http://www.msi.com.tw/support/bios/mainboard/6xxx/k7tpro2a/k7tpro2a.htm
it says "This BIOS fixes the following problems of the previous version:
-built-in 4-way memory interleave function
-wider range of Vcore selection "
try it
