my friend has a compaq presario 5002us and i cant find out what type of motherboard it has can any one help please

You should be able to get that info by running sisoft sandra.

All you need is the serial #er from the computer and go to this link. It is a link to HP's database that would have all the info about your friends computer from when it was built. I can only guess that the motherboard info will be included.
