Hi, í´m going to upgrade my computer(celemine really suck :P to a thunderbird 1200 mhz.. BUT.. officialy my power supply is only recommended from amd for up to 1000 mhz..

Do I have to get a new one? (the current one is 250w aopen)

or is this just some official numbers that can be bent? :)

I have a geforce ddr, 1 hard disk, and a plexwriter.. that´s about it (plus alpha 6035+23 cfm sunon, vantec super slot cooler and a 80 mm sunon case fan)

And btw, i´m thinking about buying a new case, the black server case from fong kai.. but tha power supply in that one is also only rated up to 1000 mhz :(

if you run a duron or a T BIrd you will have to have a 300watt or better powersupply to make these chips stable

if you get a t bird i would suggest a 330 watter to make sure your system is stable
