internet dial up

My internet dial up keeps dialing on its own for no apparent reason anyone got any ideas
i thought maybe it may have been caused by a rogue programme that got past my firewall but ive searched my drive and cant find anything that shouldnt be there
it happens about once every minute the funny thing is it only does it when logged into my account (got 4 accounts for the rest of the family) and its realy starting to p*** me off!!!!!!

It could be spyware. Try Adaware, or Spy bot.

You have Windows XP. Check your Windows automatic updates settings. It's probably set to automatically update whenever it feels like it, so that means it will dial up to Microsoft at semi-regular intervals checking for updates to XP. Look in Control Panel, Windows Updates.

Now that I think about it what DeltaSierra said is far more likly then it being spyware.
