View Full Version : This working right?
I'm on my third update thingy on the folding app, yet the stats sites only shows i've completed 1 where it should have changed to 2.... grrrrrrrrrr.....
NVM its jsut the user stats page, the actual team page has me listed as having 2 updates and with a higher score,......

hrmm, I can't connect to the irc. Times out :(
Thanx kendon, now there dude... :D
I have that EM3 thingy, how do i get it to show the folds on the other comps i got running the ap... all i can get is the one on this comp, i can't get the others..... seems pointless having this program...
I think with EM3 you can only monitor one pc at a time.
Then why does it have slots for 13 clients? ..... someone said to get this program to monitor all the comps i have folding, but i'm using XP pro and it wont let me do anything but monitor this comp, stupid software does'nt even have a decent help file....
Well excuse me, this is the first I am hearing about this.
I would love to hear more, so I can monitor my other pc's.
Can anyone confirm this?
Kendan posted a link to the program in a reply at this post of mine. (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=195324)
Yeah but didn't you say you can watch the other pc's folding?

Yes you are able to, you just need to have hte folder opened to the network (the folding folder) and make sure u have access to the folder via the network, then when it asks for the DIR of the client...im pretty sure u just go to my network places > the fah shared dir > then double click the fah3console.exe and then it should monitor it as long as it is on....im pretty sure this is how it works, but ive never done it before, this is just how i THINK it would work
I was gonna try it the same way, its just a pain in the arse getting XP to share dirctories, it never shares folders like "Program Files" or "Windows", lol....... will have to reinstall F@H on the other comp into a shared dir.
It is easy to share a directory even in XP. Yes EM3 allows you to monitor many rigs. http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude1/emsite/help/index.html
that should help.
To share a folder in XP right click on the folder click sharing and security then click share this folder. You might have to run thru a wizard but it is really that simple.

It sounds like you are using the GUI to fold. We all recomend using the console client. It has less potential errors with video cards and games and stuff.

Sorry to sound ungrateful, but its not "that easy" to share in XP Pro....... u have to set folder permissions, and setting folder permissions for remote users is near impossible for someone like me to figure out..........
No big deal, i'm not worried about seeing the info from one comp, its not that important, i'd rather not go through the stress of trying to get it to work.....
BTW i tried that help page it has no info regarding setting up remotely viewed thingys......
The info i need is not on that page anywhere, its very lacking when it comes to advanced settings.... as if the help file, which is basicly a copy of that page.
