New Detonators

Detonator 44.03 is out, and there is a claimed 30% increase in perfomance over all other detonators?

Try these out, and tell if they really deliver!

holy crap! nvidia came out with some whql drivers for a change! :D i am trying them out now and i will tell ya how it goes...

probably won't do anything for the geforce4's
and why do they have to have international drivers that are 18 mb?? how goofy... :)

Didn't change performance at all for me. Think the difference is only with the FX series.

This is such BS. I mean everytime they put out some new drivers they aparantly give a 30% increase in performance. How can they claim this?? I mean I've never seen any performance increases over about 5% with new drivers.

More marketing hype?

yeah, here's the catch: straight from nvidia.com:

So these drivers probably don't do much at all, except for the FX5600

man, a new Detonator release used to be such a big deal for us Geforce 4 owners. I used to feel really special. Now ever since Geforce FX came out, its like we've been pushed to the side - just like that time my parents had another kid and they made me sleep outside :'-(

There is a 43.51 WHQL driver for all the cards, no idea why they didnt officially release it though. I tried downloading this 4 times from different mirrors off the NV site and all ended up corrupted for some reason
