From the bios, CPU 47, MB 32. Stock cooling.

There is no OC, and I'm just installing windows. I'll let you know when I'm in.
Thanks,

It showed 44 on the Probe last night, and now shows 42 this morning. Isn't 42 still high? I'm guessing as the AS3 sets I will see the temp go down a little more.

RideGuy... yours is okay coz mine is 47C - 55C max.
mine: P4 2.4B @ 2.93GHz @ 1.525V
Idle temps at 40-45 should be OK.
Check the full load temps running Prime95 or CPU Burn.
What mobo are you using?

I am using the MSI 865PEN2-LS. Right now I have the 2.4B in it, but I will be doing a chip swap where I will end up with a 2.4C. I can't wait till I have an 800fsb! :D
The 1.6A@2.4 in my cig runs idle at 35-37(or lower depending on room temp). That's why I was conserned by the higher temps of the 2.4B. Maybe the case needs a bit more ventilation.
Thanks to everone for quick responces. I'm feeling much be.
