I have a 1Ghz Athlon Tbird on a A7V card with a fan Alpha Pal...

The cpu temperature is about 50-55°C. Is it normal ?

Is somebody have a atlon 1Ghz can tell me the temperature of is cpu ?

thanks

A little high, depending on the ambient temperature of course, but those temps are just about normal. You might try reinstalling the Heatsink to make sure it is on level, and make sure you use thermal grease. You can get the chip to run cooler, but you'd have to add a faster (and louder) fan to the heatsink. Basically, if you live in Alaska, I'd be concerned. If you're down in say, the Saharras, you're doing Great!

NEVER USE A HEATSINK WITHOUT THERMAL PASTE

NEVER USE PADS either

I have a PEP66 heatsink and my duron 600@700 CPU is 55°C. Is this normal? What is my problem?

Yes, I have an Athlon 1 Ghz and measured the same temps with my Spire cooler. Yesterday I installed a Global Win FOB 38/Arctic Silver and the max. temp measured is 38 Celcius. The FOB 38 is quite noisy though.

I am running a duron 750@926Mhz and my temp gets to about 48C when I am playing games. I have a Duron monster orb for my cooling.

My little 1ghz Tbird @1.1ghz (for now) and running default voltage is 31c at idle, and 41-43c after running a hard game (Q3A or Motocrossmadness2) for a couple hours. Seti@Home runs any time I am not playing as well and hits the same temps. This is using an FOP38, loud, but acceptable if you have good enough case cooling to keep the lid on! :-)
I lapped only the FOP38 to get rid of the machining grooves. This puppy has impressed me, after moving away from Intel for the first time ever.
If you want the best aircooling, go the FOP38.....
