To those with the Alpha Pep66t and the Abit KT-7 raid motheboard combo. I have a large 120mm house voltage fan in the front of my INWIN q-500 case. Yes it is loud but it pushes alot of air. Now the alpha heatsinks are meant to suck air vs blow but since the fan is on the front side of the heatsink there is no way that little fan can compete with the large front one. So I have it blowing instead of sucking and it seems to work well. Boot temp onto entry into Win98 is 42C and it drops down to 26C at idle useage. I have been looking into peltier coolers so I can bust the 1ghz barrier and remain stable with my current 800 (its at 950 now). With that said has anyone ever had any luck with rotating the pep66t so the fan is on the rear as to allow sucking? Second question is the peltier itself. I have a 300w power supply. Drawing from this: GE256 32mb video card, Soundblaster Live value sound card, 256mb PC133 memory, hard drive, cdrom, cd burner, NIC card for an external cable modem, and a 80mm fan in the rear to help pull heat out. I dont want to overload the powersupply with a monster peltier but would like some serious cooling. Any suggestions?

For this kind of CPU, you need a big peltier and must power it with a second power supply. Check for related topics and articles.
Be very carefull with insulation.
