I get some trouble overclocking my Duron 700 on my K7TPro-2A (as you may have noticed!). My CPU was locked, so I closed ALL L1 bridges.. and.. I got it up to 800MHz, and not higher.. so I started closing all L7 bridges, but then my Smart D-Led told me that my processor might be damaged.. (DAMN) so I opened the L7 bridges again...
I read a message here that someone got his Duron to overclock by just closing only the first 3of the L1 bridges.. so I did that too.. and I got it up to 850MHz (!!!) then I closed only 2 bridges.. and I got it up to 900MHz(!!!!!) and that was just a few minutes ago... so next I'm beginning to close only 1 bridge and see what will happen.....

There's only one problem.... I can't get the voltage high enough.. so windows won't run.. but the post screen will tell me if it works!!
Below is my L1 configuration....Hope I can help you with it!! (My duron is from week 48):

L1 Locked: . : : : :
700MHz: . : : : : (Locked)
800MHz: . | | | | (800 as max, so 700 and 750 included!!)
850MHz: . | | | : (850 as max)
900MHz: . | | : : (900 as max, win. will not run because of MY voltage prob.)

the dot is the one dot next to to "L1"
Hope this will help you!!

UPDATE... !!!!!!

Locked: . : : : :
1. . | | | | > 800MHz
2. . | | | : > 850MHz
3. . | | : : > 900MHz (windows hangs!)
4. . | : : : > 750MHz
5. . | : | : > 750MHz
6. . | : | | > 750 MHz
7. . | : : | > 750MHz
8. . : | | | > 900MHz (!Windows does not hang.. Rock stable!!!)
9. . : : | | > ERROR
10. . : : : | > 700MHz
11. . : | | : > 800MHz
12. . : | : | > 800MHz

I don't get it??? but what does wonder me.. is that when bridge 2 is NOT closed, the speed will NOT be higher than 750MHz (see 4-7) Weird, isn't it?
Does anybody know what causes this?????

I am running a Duron 750@926Mhz and all I did was close all the L1 bridges and it was unlocked. I have the multiplier at 9 and the FSB at 103Mhz (only have PC100 memory, won't go any higher).

it won't go higher than 103mhz due to the VIA KT133 chipset. It is very limited in speed, not stable much beyond 105mhz, so the memory is not the issue, nor the CPU, just the damn chipset. When the KT133A comes out, you could probably get your PC100 to run at 115mhz easy.

I think my trick only works on the newest duron's (from week 48/2000)
