Ok, heres the story. Ive got intermittant reboot problems on this motherboard. First I thought it was power supply, so I changed it. When it worked for awhile (1 hr tops) I put the old one back in. The old one worked great - until now.

When I say intermittant reboots, I mean it completely. It even reboots in the BIOS. Sometimes it doesnt detect my main HD, but cold booting fixes it.

To get the machine back up during one of these rebooting outages, I keep it unplugged for at least an hour, then it will usually amgicly work again.

And I DO have a "bursting" capaciter, but it's only one. Do you think this is the problem?

Also, Is a power supply fan speed of 1500 - 2000 rpm acceptable? I dont think so, Should I replace it?

Thanks In Advance.

Anyway, below are my relevent specs straight from Sisoft Sandra, with comments:

if you have a capacitor that has burst, the board is toast. Even if it's only leaking a little bit, problames like that get worse over time, not better. I'd toss it, or try and get a replacement if it's still warranteed.

The fan speed is ok- lots of PSU fans are temp-controlled, and yours is probably just spinning at slow speed until it has to go faster.
