Ok, I have read alot about the Durons regarding green and blue. The majority says tbird-blue, Duron-Green. Well I received my Duron 650 today and around the edge of the core is blue. There is no significant green color at all. #s are

AKCA0043CPCW

Can anyone tell me what I can expect from this cpu (o/cing) while I am waiting for mobo (A7V) in the mail and Taisol CGK742092 HSF.

Thanks to all that Help

You can get a blue duron or tbird and a green duron or tbird, the color tells you where it was made. Blue means dresden, green means austin, austin chips are all aluminum interconnect, dresdens are copper if they're tbirds, but the durons are still aluminum, so there really isnt anything special about a blue duron that anyone knows of <unless one fab has a higher yield, but noones come up with statistical evidence to back that claim. Basically you should check the cpu database and see what others are getting with your chip.
