Hi,I'vejust got hold of a pair of WD40gigJB's and want to set up a raid 0 array on my kx7-333r,is it best to have each drive connected to the raid sockets individually set as a master ?or can you connect them on one cable set as master/slave to just one socket?would this work ?if so would it affect performance? Thanx.
You should set each drive on separate ide channel. It doesn't matter if the are master or slave on the channel.
If they are on the same channel they will not be accessed simultaneously - so the raid-0 will be as fast as non-raid-0.
It is also good not to have other devices on these 2 channels for better perfomance.
