Do you mean you can't even increase the fsb to 101? That seems really odd... you could try raising the VI/O (the 3.3V) a bit to try and stabilise your PCI cards. If you want to get the most out of your ram just set it to PCI+HOST CLK, that way it'll run at 133MHz, the best you'll get without raising the fsb. I've heard that raid controllers don't like high fsb speeds, but there's plenty of people running KT7-R's at 110MHz+ out there - like I said, just try increasing the VI/O, I'm sure you can crank it up a notch or two.
No, he means the options in the BIOS are "grayed out", they are a different color than the rest, have an "X" to the left of them, and will not allow you to select them. I have the same problem. Any ideas?
I would try flashing the bios just go to the abit site and get the bios you want I would recommend UL I tried ww and it was flaky. Sounds like your vendor installed there bios. Just make sure you get the right bios and take a look at bios on the front page for some good tips.
1. Enter the BIOS
2. Select 'Softmenu 3 Setup'
3. Select 'CPU Operating Speed'
4. Now you select the option 'User define'
And now....the FSB settings should work!!
