I have a duron 700 and the temp is about 137F. I think that it to hot but my computer runs just fine. The case temp is only about 40F. My comp. runs just fine with no freezing but I still think the temp isn't vary good.

that temp is too high
what heatsink/fan you running
what thermal transfur material you using between the heatsink and the core ( either thermal compound or a pad or nothing)?

I know this is bad but I am using a gold orb (gorb), and I am not using any compound because the duron has spacers on it and would have to use ALOT of compound, or do I only have to put it on the chip in the middle of the cpu and not on the other parts??

No wonder it's so hot - you only need thermal paste on the cpu slug in the middle, the bridges and resistors don't need cooling. Spread it out nice and thin on the core using an OLD credit card or razor blade (if you use arctic silver it doesn't wipe of plastic cards well, that's why you should use an old one). The thickness of a sheet of paper or two is what you're aiming for. That ought to drop you by a few degrees C, to the low 50's (sorry, I work in celsius :-) ). For better cooling you will need a better hsf - as Azz will tell you, the Ofrio's pretty good, as are the globalwin FOP38 and the alpha PEP66, and if you want to get to the low-mid 40's you'll need good case cooling too - like some 80 or 120mm fans sucking in and blowing out.

Well I will use some past and do you know where i can get the hsf?? I got a 80mm fan in the case bringing in air and I want to get a blower in one of my slots. And thanks for the help.

Try http://www.2cooltek.com , http://www.coolerguys.com , http://www.leufkentechnologies.com - these are just a few off the top of my head, there may be cheaper/better (I'm in the UK so I don't know).
hey here is the best heat sink and fan in the world.
its pricey but worth it. I'm talking about the swiftech MC462 heres a link
