these windows (http://www.directron.com/laserwin.html) nearly made me crap my pants when i saw them!
has anyone seen or tried one in real life? i want to know how the shading is on the actual acrylic, and if the shading comes out well/the pictures look good with an LED
i havent, sorry

them are really nice, surprisingly cheap also, I just use a piece of glass from a picture frame though(the cheap way to make a window).

i think that would take the point outta the window..... i think of a window to show off the insides of the case... oh well... just my opinion....

i think you'd still be able to see through the window to the case, but i want to talk to someone who's used one!

Careful with that. Sounds like it could break without much effort.

Looks cool. I dont think that windows are just for looking at the inside, I have a dragon just for the looks of it, I could care less about the inside.

That site has the same thing, but it has a wider selection. There's also a choice for custom pictures on the windows. I was debating whether I should get one or not, but then they have this thing where they don't do copyrighted stuff, and I didn't know if the picture I wanted was copyrighted or not so I never bothered. The windows do look pretty good from the pictures however. For the question about whether they look nice w/ a LED, this place has a review and some pictures w/ the window lighted:

I think it looks pretty cool, but i'd rather people pay attention to the stuff on the inside, than to the window itself.

couldn't you get a a photo made into black and white then have it printed onto a transparency? that would do the same thing i think

those were great links venom
and about the transparency - that would be just like an applique, and they don't light up as well as the laser etched windows, as far as i know
