I'm going to be helping my brother build his new system in the next week or so. He has ordered an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board, a Barton core 2800 CPU, two sticks of Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM (256 Megs each) and one stick of Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM (512 Megs). He has a nice GeoForce vid card (not sure of the model, but a newer one with 128 Megs video RAM). He's going to be using the Hard Drives, CDRW etc. from his old system.
Any tips or tricks on setting up this system or an "gotchas" I need to be aware of? He'll rely on me to assist in tweaking the BIOS, and doing the basic installation and setup of the RAM, CPU, Drives, etc. It sounds like a killer system in the making, but I want to make sure I set it up right for him.
