PC133 or PC150 and what brand?

I was wondering if someone could recommend which memory I should get. I have an MSI MS-6337LE5 mobo with 1.2 celery O/C to 1.5, I have cheap Centon PC133 now but want to go with something better, Thanks

I've had good luck with mushkin. Any brand name memory, like kingston, corsair and samsung should perform quite well. You never know though. I have a generic stick of PC133 that will do 170MHz at cas 3.

thanks, I had a stick of PC150 that I got off of ebay but it was doa so I sent it back and I figured I might as well get recommendations, I was looking at corsair xms PC150(I think is what it is).

yeah, ive used corsair before and it was good before my nephew spilled koolaid all over my computer. that was PC100 though, not very overclockable.

You shouldn't need anything more than PC133 RAM for your OC in which case Crucial would be your best bet due to their warranty performance, plus the RAM's pretty good anyway.

If you need over PC133 (doubtful - getting a 1.2 over 133Mhz takes some work at best and is by no means a sure thing) I'd go with the Mushkin Rev3+ which will do PC150, guaranteed. It's the RAM I use for all my PIII and Tualeron OCs, it works just great and is bullet-proof. Mushkin also has great customer service, should you ever need it.

I went with the Crucial PC133 Cas 2 and have never been disappointed...Mushkin would be dandy, but on my budget Crucial is the memory of choice... ;)

I agree with the others. Since you're not likely to get a Celeron much past a 133 MHz FSB, stick with good PC133. If you do choose to go higher, a good budget alternative is Kingmax PC150. Generally around $45-$55 per 256MB stick (last time I checked), and it'll run 2-2-2-5/7 up to the mid 140's FSB, which is probably as high as you could dream of getting a Tualtin Celeron. what do you guys think I could get my celeron up to if I pelt it? My mobo only goes to 1.6 volts so i'll probably have to wire trick it to get it stable at any higher speed. I had it at 1.5 ghz stable with stock intel hsf and a few case fans.

Mushkin High Performance PC133 with Infineon or Micron 7E chips. BTW... I don't think you should upgrade with PC133 because PC133 memory is more expensive than PC3200.

If I were you.... I will leave my system as it is now, and invest in P4 with DDR 3200.

In that regard, it depends on how long he plans to stick with the Celeron system. If he plans to spend a couple more years, the RAM upgrade might make sense. But in the long run, saving towards that future P4 (or P5 ;) ) system starts to make sense.
