( i think this is the right place to put it, cuz you guys would prolly know the most about this stuff)

well im wondering where i can get some fine grit sand paper 400+
wet/dry (im especially looking for some 2000, 1000, 1500, and then 400-800 grit)

havent had any luck looking at hardware stores

Home Depot here had it up to 2000. If you cant find it locally, you can order from there site.

Well looks like I was wrong Fiji. I only got up to 600 wet/dry at home depot. I got my 1000, 1500 and 2000 at Autozone.

Almost any auto parts store should have the finer grits

400 isn't really fine. It's good for initial sanding, but it's certainly not a polish paper.

You can get it at any automotive supply store, such as Pep Boys, or a NAPA autoparts store.

I got mine at an auto store (Discount Auto Parts/Pep Boys etc.)
