Will today's current Thunderbird chips be able to clock to 133mhz FSB on the new KT133a boards??? Or are the Thunderbird chips of today's market not capable and we will have to buy new CPUs to obtain a 133mhz (266mhz) fsb ?

Good question, I cannot give concrete answer but it seems like (m) any Tbirds and Durons can run 133mhz fsb, with the multiplier set lower than default, depending on oc qualities. Look at this:

I have also seen Durons running @133 in articles about the KT133A and the AMD760 chipset.
Correct me if I am wrong or if you got any moore info on this matter

The new 1.2G T-Bird is manufactured to run at 133MHz, otherwise you'll need to underclock the processor.
Well, is it really an underclock, say you have a gigahz proc running with a multiplier of 10 and a 100MHz fsb.. You raise the fsb to 133Mhz and lower the mult to 7.6 and run it at a gigahz. Would it run stable if the clock speed of the proc was the same by lowering the multiplier and raising the fsb? (Hmm, maybe I need to buy a new board in a month or two.)

I think that's an interesting point. The system is still at 1GHz but the processor is not running at the spec'd clock speed. Does anyone know of any long-term testing done running the processor lower than spec and the effect(s)?
