All I can say is THANK YOU AMD....I was an Intel holdout till a week ago when I bought my first AMD chip. I purchased the KT7 (non-RAID) and this blue core 1ghz and a new full tower case. Added in an FOP38 for good measure, two 80mm case fans with some custom hole enlarging on the case for beter airflow, and I am in Nirvana! After running it at stock speed for a few hours, I bumped the fsb to 105 and the multiplier to 10.5, and 1.1ghz at stock voltage. Perfect. My ram benches shot through the roof compared to my "old" CUSL2 PIII @950mhz rig, using my 256mb Kingmax Tiny BGA. THANK YOU AMD.
I am a believer! This rig runs Seti@Home non-stop except when I am gaming...perfect stability.

Nice system mate - have you tried taking it higher? Sounds like you have good cooling, if your temps are around 45C you're quite safe, nothing to lose. Go on, go for 1150/1200, you know you want to ;-)

i bet 1200mhz would go with 1.85 volts

sounds good bro

i was a intel holdout till abot 2 months ago going from a P3V4X with a P3 700 cB0 @ 1008 peltiercooled @ 1.95 volts

got a A7V with a T Bird 850 one day and through it together and well......i was running 850 at first just see how this thing performs and it was faster than my P3 @1008mhz

i scrached my head and said *F__K INTEL NOW*

so i bumped it to 9.5 x 100 and went no problem

im now running this T Bird 850 @ 1060mhz 10.5 x 101 fsb

thats @ 2.08 volts now that i have burned it in

these chips and boards are fast....cant wait till i get my "clocking" hands on the new KT133A boards

we are going to a new extreem with these boards

Hell yeah :-) I am gonna get the KT7A as soon as my local supplier gets one in, already got a guy lined up to buy this "old" (hehe) KT7 from me. By then I'll be ready to push it to 1200, waiting on my additional case fans for my tower before I push the voltage up hence the heat that comes with it. With a couple more fans drawing out hot air, my FOP38 should be able to handle the load....
